Work to be Done by Builders for Escalators and Moving SideWalks
Construction-Related Work (Supply and Install)
- Opening of holes in floor slabs for installation use and recovery work
- Installation of supporting beams for installation use
- Opening of suspension holes in floor slabs or sleeve holes for carrying the escalators/ moving sidewalks into place and performing recovery work
- Lowest floor and escalators/ moving sidewalks bottom pits and waterproofing work
(If there is any resident room below the lower machine room, the pit work will be of refractory construction)
- Finishing work for floors and ceilings around the escalators/ moving sidewalks after completion of escalators/ moving sidewalks installation
- Installation & finishing works to barrier and walls around the escalators/ moving sidewalks
- External panels on escalators/ moving sidewalks frame (truss)
- Installation of triangular guard plates in places where the escalators/ moving sidewalks and building ceiling or one escalator/ moving sidewalk and another intersects
- If the space between escalators/ moving sidewalks is a stairwell, installation of intermediate down walls, ceilings, handrails, and advance prevention partitions
- Joint work in places where the escalators/ moving sidewalks and the building’s ceiling border
- Installation of fall protection nets, etc, if the space between the escalators/ moving sidewalks and the building’s floor is stairwell or the space between one escalators/ moving sidewalks and another is a stairwell
- Preparation of an entrance to carry in the escalators/ moving sidewalks and perform recovery work if the escalator/ moving sidewalk is to be installed in an existing building
- Protection work around the escalators/ moving sidewalks if the escalators/ moving sidewalk is to be installed in an existing building
- Opening of a hole in the wall if the operation panel of the escalator/ moving sidewalk is to be installed in the building’s wall
Electrical Equipment-Related Work (Supply and Install)
- Main power supply for the drive motor: lead-in up to the upper control board of the escalators/ moving sidewalks
- Power supply for inspection and maintenance (including bottom lighting): lead-in up to the upper control board of the escalators/ moving sidewalks
- Grounding wire: lead-in up to the upper power receiving panel of the escalators/ moving sidewalks
- Piping and wiring for the supervisory panel: lead-in from the installation area of the supervisory panel to the power receiving panel of the escalators/ moving sidewalks
- Piping and wiring work if the escalators’/ moving sidewalks’ operation panel is separately installed (built into the wall, etc)
- Selector switch and its installation for escalators/ moving sidewalk bottom lighting
- Installation of emergency lighting
- Installation of sprinklers, broadcasting speakers, guide lights, etc
